HOW IT WORKS

SIREN FX rates are available every 30 minutes from 9am Monday New Zealand Market open (Sunday 10pm UTC) through to 5pm Friday New York close (Friday 10pm UTC).  

The SIREN FX benchmark is calculated over a 20 minute window leading up to every half-hour. SIREN FX is based on FCA regulated independent FX spot benchmark rates, using an optimal execution algorithm to minimise the effect of market impact.

Notable specific timings for deeper liquidity include (but are not limited to)

4pm London “The 4pm SIREN Fix” used by asset managers and pension funds globally but especially in Europe to mimic European equity exchange closing hours and hedge FX exposure.

10am New Zealand Standard Time (NZST) (UTC equivalent) providing a SIREN fix specifically useable for executions seeking liquidity in Kiwi & Aussie markets.

10am JST (Japan Standard Time) (UTC equivalent) providing a SIREN fix specifically useable for executions seeking liquidity in JPY, CNH, HKD and SGD.

12pm Hong Kong time (UTC equivalent) providing a SIREN fix specifically useable for executions seeking liquidity in JPY, CNH, HKD and SGD.

2pm CET providing a SIREN fix specifically useable for executions seeking liquidity in Euro crosses including CZK, PLN, HUF, RON, ILS and TRY.

12pm EST providing a SIREN fix specifically useable for executions seeking liquidity in CAD and MXN versus the USD
